You can provide us with the exact quilt pattern you want or simply say that your best friend loves bright colours, as was the case with each of these commissioned quilts.

Both of these were made using a given colour palette. One was to match a painting done by the baby's auntie for the nursery and the other to match Winnie the Pooh. They both have snuggly backs for mommy and baby to cuddle in.

A very special kind of custom quilt we do is a Memory Quilt.

When we make your quilt from scratch, we use something sentimental to you (t-shirts, baby clothes, uniforms, etc.) as some of the fabric in the quilt top.

How Commissioned Quilts Work

Whether you would like a quilt made for someone special in your life, for your own decor, or to remember special memories, we can make it for you!

We meet with you (in Edmonton or the Calgary area) to discuss what you have in mind. Starting anywhere from a colour you like to the precise quilt pattern you want us to use, we will get an idea of exactly what you are looking for. You can give as much input as you want or let us use our professional judgement.

Then we buy the fabric, cut and sew the quilt top, quilt the top with batting and backing on our long arm quilting machine, then trim and bind the quilt to give you a completed handmade quilt- fully created and customized for you!

Pricing is variable depending on complexity of design, materials used, and the finish quilting desired. This will be discussed in consultation with you, but you can start to get an idea of cost on our Pricing Page.
